Let us now join our hearts and voices in prayer to God our Father, in the name of Jesus, the humble and obedient Servant of God:
That our Church and parish community may proclaim humanity’s liberation from sin by the cross of Christ: let us pray to the Lord.
That those who serve our Church as pastors, counselors, and teachers may speak God’s comforting, healing word to all the holy people of God: let us pray to the Lord.
That the nations and governments of the world may be dedicated to the cause of Christ’s peace and peace: let us pray to the Lord.
That the sick, the suffering, the alienated, and the dying may know the healing presence of Christ: let us pray to the lord.
That we may imitate the attitude of the humble and obedient Jesus by emptying ourselves for the sake of the poor, the hungry, the homeless, and the forgotten: let us pray to the Lord.
That those who have died in the peace of Christ [especially _________], may share in the victory of his resurrection: let us pray to the Lord.
That the God of mercy will hear the prayers we now offer in the silence of our hearts [Pause...]: let us pray to the Lord.
Father of endless love and compassion, hear the prayers of your family gathered around you. May we imitate your Son by taking up our crosses with joyful obedience, seeking your justice in all things; may we embrace his example of loving humanity, loving and praising you in the compassion and care we extend to one another. We ask these things in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer.
