O God, your Son remained with his disciples after his resurrection, teaching them to love all people as neighbors. As his disciples in this age, we offer our prayers on behalf of the universe in which we are privileged to live and our neighbors with whom we share it.

For the church: that as we break the bread and share the cup, Christ may reveal himself more and more to us and strengthen us to be faithful disciples: let us pray to the Lord.

For all Christians: that the freedom brought by the resurrection may enable us to live with purpose and help others to forsake the fruitless pursuits of power, fame, and wealth: let us pray to the Lord.

For wisdom: that as we bring our lives, experiences, and relationships to the Eucharist each week, the Scriptures may help us recognize that Christ is with us in every aspect of life: let us pray to the Lord.

For a deepening of our love and hunger for the Word of God: that through reading and praying the scriptures, our hearts may be set on fire, and our commitment to God grow: let us pray to the Lord.

For all in our community: that the Spirit will guide our daily journeys and enable us to ease fear, bring hope, and offer encouragement to those who touch our lives: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who are on significant journeys, for missionaries, pilgrims, aid workers, and those discerning their life vocation: that God will protect them from harm, lead them safely to their destination, and help them be aware of God’s presence with them: let us pray to the Lord.

For a deeper appreciation of the gift of the Eucharist: that we may be strengthened each week as we celebrate God's love in the liturgy and come to recognize Jesus more readily in our lives: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who are awaiting the sacraments of initiation: that God will sustain them, help them to deepen their commitment, and grow in their desire to serve God each day: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who are recovering from storms: that God will give them strength and courage to rebuild their lives, guide them to the resources that they need, and help all to help one another: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who study, teach, or participate in scripture discussion or prayer groups: that the Spirit will guide their pursuit of God’s Word and help them to witness to God’s message in their lives: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who are ill: that God’s healing love will relieve their pain, strengthen their minds and bodies, and make fruitful their treatments and therapies: let us pray to the Lord.

For all seeking employment: that God will guide them to good opportunities where their gifts can grow and develop, and where they will contribute to the good of society: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who are in isolation: that they may find companionship with God through the scriptures, recall with gratitude all who are significant in their life, and encourage others who are alone: let us pray to the Lord.

For peace: that God will inspire leaders with courage and new ideas to end warfare in Iran,  Lebanon, and Ukraine, open new avenues for negotiations, and bring forth structures that promote safety and justice for all: let us pray to the Lord.

Open our hearts to your power moving around us and between us and within us, until your glory is revealed in our love of both friend and enemy, in communities transformed by justice and compassion, and in the healing of all that is broken. Amen.

O God, your Son remained with his disciples after his resurrection, teaching them to love all people as neighbors. As his disciples in this age, we offer our prayers on behalf of the universe in which we are privileged to live and our neighbors with whom we share it.

For the church: that we may learn to listen together to the promptings of the Spirit so that we may offer a convincing witness to all who are seeking a direction in life: let us pray to the Lord.

For youth: that as we worship, study, and serve the needs of others, young people may witness the new life that Easter offers and encounter Christ, who is life for them: let us pray to the Lord.

For a spirit of reverence: that as we break the bread and share the cup, we may recognize more fully the risen Lord in our midst: let us pray to the Lord.

For all Christians: that we, who have received the Spirit, may continue the mission of healing and forgiveness which Christ entrusted to the church: let us pray to the Lord.

For freedom: that the spirit will free us from the selfishness promoted by society and help us to promote the common good for the good of all the human family: let us pray to the Lord.

For Christian unity: that by devoting ourselves to listening to the scriptures and growing in prayer, we may promote greater unity and cooperation in the body of Christ: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who struggle with faith: that the word of God may liberate their hearts, open them to a relationship with God, and enlighten their path to a fuller life: let us pray to the Lord.

For the grace to forgive: that having experienced God’s forgiveness, we may forgive those who have misjudged or wronged us: let us pray to the Lord.

For all confessors: that God will give them the wisdom to encourage penitents in a new direction and help penitents to experience God’s love and mercy through them: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who are bound by sinfulness: that God may break their bonds and open a new path of life that reveals love, kindness, and mercy to them: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who are ill: that the risen Lord will bring newness of life to them and give them hope, strength, and healing: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who are frightened: that they may find Christ present with them in their fear and darkness: let us pray to the Lord.

For a greater appreciation of creation: that as we experience the creator of all that exists, we may treat all of creation with greater reverence as God's gift to us: let us pray to the Lord.

For an end to violence: that the risen Lord will teach us how to protect the innocent from gun violence, end domestic violence, and deal with our anger in positive ways: let us pray to the Lord.

For peace: that Christ's gift of peace may settle in the hearts of all the human family and guide us away from violence and revenge: let us pray to the Lord.

Open our hearts to your power moving around us and between us and within us, until your glory is revealed in our love of both friend and enemy, in communities transformed by justice and compassion, and in the healing of all that is broken. Amen.

For all Christians: that we may give common witness to the Gospel and follow Jesus’ example of embracing God’s will: let us pray to the Lord.

For the Elect and the Candidates for Full Communion: that they may enter more deeply into the mystery of God’s unconditional love through the celebrations of Holy Week: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who have been condemned to death: that the Spirit of God will lead them to conversion and into new life: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who have experienced abandonment, betrayal. or rejection: that God’s Spirit will comfort them, help them to hold fast to the truth, and guide them to new supportive communities: let us pray to the Lord.

For the Jewish community: that their celebration of Passover may help them recognize God’s faithfulness and God’s wonderful deeds in the past and in the present: let us pray to the Lord.

For leaders of government and business: that through the example of Jesus, they may recognize how to be servant leaders and give priority to the needs of the most vulnerable: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who work in the legal system, for judges, attorneys, and juries: that they may always respect the dignity of both the injured and accused parties and work diligently to find the truth: let us pray to the Lord.

For greater respect for human life: that every heart may honor the mystery of human life at all stages along life's journey: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who are ill: that God will renew and restore all who are ill or recovering from surgery or accidents: let us pray to the Lord.

For all impacted by the flooding Hawaii: that God will protect them from further harm, renew their spirits, and speed the resources they need to resume their lives: let us pray to the Lord.

For an end to warfare: that God will open a path for negotiations and a ceasefire, protect all civilians in the combat zones, and bring food and medicine to those in need: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who are grieving: that God will comfort them, bring supportive people to support them, and fill their hearts with peace: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who have died: that they may share new life with Christ who opened eternity to all who believe: let us pray to the Lord.

Life-giver, Pain-bearer, Love-maker, day by day you sustain the weary with your word and gently encourage us to place our trust in you. Awaken us to the suffering of those around us; save us from hiding in denials or taunts that deepen the hurt; give us grace to share one another’s burdens in humble service. Amen.
