As a community of peace and compassion, let us offer our prayers to our merciful and loving God:
That our Church and parish may seek, in all things, to become a community of reconciliation and forgiveness: let us pray to the Lord.
That all peoples and nations may “cultivate peace” in order to reap “a harvest of justice”: let us pray to the Lord.
That our parish religious education teachers may guide and inspire our children in the wonders and wisdom of God: let us pray to the Lord.
That those who have dedicated themselves to the service of the poor and oppressed may be exalted as first in the reign of God: let us pray to the lord.
That we may hear, with openness of heart and generosity of spirit, the voices of those who cry out for mercy and justice: let us pray to the Lord.
That God will raise up to new life those who have died in the peace of Christ [especially _________]: let us pray to the Lord.
That God will hear the prayer we now offer in the silence of our hearts [Pause...]: let us pray to the Lord.
Gracious Father, hear our prayers. Enliven us with the Spirit of Christ the Servant, that we may serve and honor you by serving and honoring one another; inspire us with the wonder of a child, that we may seek with gratitude the simple and humble ways of your justice and peace We ask these things in the name of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
