Inspired by the Spirit of God present among us, let us give voice to our prayers for all God’s people:

That, in all of our parish’s ministries, we may proclaim God’s “favor” for all humanity: let us pray to the Lord.

That our Church may be community of enablement, encouraging and supporting all men, women, and children to use their gifts and talents for the building up of the body of Christ: let us pray to the Lord.

That the nations and peoples of the world may embrace God’s Spirit of joy, liberty, and peace: let us pray to the Lord.

That those who teach and proclaim the gospel may reveal to their students and hearers Jesus’ vision of compassion and hope: let us pray to the lord.

That we may reach out with patient understanding and support to those imprisoned by poverty, abuse, or addiction: let us pray to the Lord.

That all who have died in Christ’s peace [especially _________],may realize the promise of the Resurrection: let us pray to the Lord.

That God will hear the prayers we now make in the silence of our hearts [Pause...]: let us pray to the Lord.

God of graciousness, hear our prayers. May your law of justice and mercy and the gospel of compassion and humility not shackle us into debating legalisms and narrow interpretations, but free us to seek and do your will in all things. In Jesus’ name, we pray.

In confidence and hope, let us now come before the Lord in prayer:

For our Church and parish community, that we may be a sign to the world of God’s great love and compassion: let us pray to the Lord.

For those who serve the Church as pastors, ministers, and teachers, that they may help us discover the great things God has done for us: let us pray to the Lord.

For all nations, states, and governments, that they may seek justice and equality for all God’s people: let us pray to the Lord.

For married couples, that Christ the Wedding Guest may always be present to them in their life together: let us pray to the lord.

For the poor, the homeless, and the forgotten, that we may welcome them to our tables: let us pray to the Lord.

For our deceased relatives and friends [especially _________], that they may take their places at the eternal wedding feast of Christ the Bridegroom: let us pray to the Lord.

For the prayers we now make in the silence of our hearts [Pause...]: let us pray to the Lord.

Gracious God, open our hearts and minds to your Spirit, the Spirit of holiness and graciousness that prompts us to offer these prayers to you – prayers we ask in the name of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

To God, the Giver of life and the Author of all holiness, let us offer our prayers:

That, through our work and worship together, our parish community may be a light to our world: let us pray to the Lord.

That those who proclaim the gospel through their ministries of teaching, healing, and charity may bring sight to those who are blind to the life of God and liberation to those imprisoned by darkness: let us pray to the Lord.

That the nations and peoples of the world may work together for the “victory of justice”: let us pray to the Lord.

That we may be always faithful to our covenant with God, a covenant sealed in the waters of our baptism: let us pray to the lord.

That the sick and the suffering, the poor and the forgotten, the lost and the troubled may find hope in the “good news of peace”: let us pray to the Lord.

That those who have died [especially _________], may rise to the new life of the Risen Christ: let us pray to the Lord.

That the God of mercy and kindness will hear the prayers we now offer in the silence of our hearts [Pause...]: let us pray to the Lord.

Lord of all creation, you have raised us to new life through water and the Spirit. May your Spirit of justice and peace always rest upon us so that we may dedicate ourselves to the work of the prayers, we have offered. In Jesus’ name, we pray.
