Let us now join our hearts and voices in prayer to our heavenly Father for all our brothers and sisters in Christ:

That we may build our Church and parish into a community of disciples through our humble and compassionate service to one another: let us pray to the Lord.

That our bishops, priests, deacons, and ministers may imitate the humility and selflessness of Christ, the Servant of God: let us pray to the Lord.

That all nations and peoples, all Churches and communities, may be dedicated to the work of peace and justice and the elimination of oppression and persecution from our world: let us pray to the Lord.

That we may seek out and treasure the insight and wisdom of the senior members and elders of our families and communities: let us pray to the lord.

That, like the poor widow, we may respond to the plight of the hungry, the homeless, and the unwanted, not from our surplus, but from our want: let us pray to the Lord.

That those who have died in the peace of Christ [especially _________], may be welcomed by the angels and saints into the kingdom of God: let us pray to the Lord.

That God will hear the prayers we now offer in the silence of our hearts [Pause...]: let us pray to the Lord.

May the prayers we offer, O God, not be for greater things and talents to astound the but for greater love and compassion to enrich the Hear our prayers for the peace of our human family prayers we offer to you in the name of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

To God, the Father of compassion and Author of love, let us offer our prayers for all the human family:

That the Spirit of love and compassion may breathe the life of God into every ministry of our Church and parish community: let us pray to the Lord.

That those who serve the Church as bishops, priests, deacons, and ministers may seek to imitate the compassion and humility of Jesus Christ, the Eternal High Priest: let us pray to the Lord.

That the nations and peoples of the world may grow and prosper in God’s ways of peace and justice: let us pray to the Lord.

That lawyers, teachers, and journalists may seek and reveal the depth of God’s truth in every human endeavor: let us pray to the lord.

That we may see in the faces of the poor, the abused, and the unwanted the face of the suffering Christ: let us pray to the Lord.

That the faithful who have died [especially _________], may live anew in the reign of God: let us pray to the Lord.

That God will hear the prayers we now offer in the silence of our hearts [Pause...]: let us pray to the Lord.

Accept, O gracious God, the humble offering of our prayers for all our human family. May we praise you for your great love for us by returning that love to one another in humble and selfless compassion and service. We offer these prayers to you in the name of your Son, your Love incarnate, Jesus Christ.

Let us pray that God’s light may illuminate our minds and hearts and guide us in God’s peace:

For our Church and parish family, that we may seek to follow Christ by becoming a community of compassion and reconciliation: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who serve the Church, that they may gather and unite us as God’s holy people: let us pray to the Lord.

For all who serve us in government, that they may uphold and protect the sacred dignity of every person: let us pray to the Lord.

For those who are mentally impaired or physically disabled, that we may be given the grace and wisdom to welcome them and enable them to use their gifts for the benefit of the entire human family: let us pray to the lord.

For those who are lost and troubled, who are mired in fear and despair, who feel abandoned by God, that, with our help and support, they may embrace the love and hope for the Father: let us pray to the Lord.

For those who have died [especially _________], that they may one day awake and arise: let us pray to the Lord.

For the prayers we now offer in the silence of our hearts [Pause...]: let us pray to the Lord.

Lord of light, restore us with your vision of selfless so that we may make real in our lives

the prayers and hopes that you alone see in the depths of our hearts. Hear the prayers which we ask of you in the name of Jesus, the healing Christ.
